My journey always began with a high emphasis on sports and training. My father was big into sports and having 3 daughters was not going to hold him back from turning us into jocks at a young age. I played soccer for the majority of my life span and basketball and track were two other sports I excelled in.

After high school I attended the University of Oregon, choosing my degree, Exercise and Movement Science, on the basis of my strongest qualities, which was sports and science. I stayed with that focus for a while then switched my focus to a more specific degree that I later thought would be more interesting, which was nutrition. I then went to the rival school, Oregon State, to finish off the Nutrition degree.

After Graduating with a BS in Nutrition, I soon found myself struggling to find a decent job. In the process of my search I decided that I wanted to get certified as a personal trainer so I not only could teach people about the nutrition side but also the exercise side of health and fitness as well. I found The National Personal Training Institute online and knew this was the perfect fit for what I was looking for. After graduating from NPTI I went directly into a personal training job and a year later started my own independent contracting in Personal Training at NPTI. I also work as the accounts manager for NPTI. I love working both of my jobs and cannot say enough about the NPTI program. It really goes above and beyond of what I expected.
